VAICACAO sources pure single-origin cacao and crafts it intodelicious, energizing cacao nibs, “holistic” ceremonial cacao, and bean-to-bar chocolates, always respecting the traceability, authenticity, and personality of the cacao!

Why VAICACAO?

We are Elisa and JuanRa, and we love the magical taste and properties of real cacao and chocolate! 

We believe cacao and chocolate should be traceable, like coffee or wine, so we indicate on our product labels which farm the cacao came from. We choose cacao grown on sustainable family farms like ours in El Salvador, where JuanRa is from, and also select cacao grown on other Earth-friendly small farms throughout Central America, where we built meaningful relationships with other growers while working on projects across the region.

After the cacao is harvested, fermented, and dried, we transform it into healthful crunchy cacao nibs, rich ceremonial Holistic cacao, and artisanal bean-to-bar chocolate, at our small craft chocolate manufactory in Sardinia, Italy, where Elisa is from. 

Our products are always minimally-processed, as well as dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, and free of other additives, to help you be free to live a healthy lifestyle!

Siamo produttori diretti di cacao nel Salvador, ma acquistiamo cacao da tutta la regione centroamericana. Il processo di trasformazione avviene nel nostro Lab ad Olbia, rendendoci al momento l’unica torrefazione di cacao in Sardegna. Adottiamo tecniche artigianali, macinando a pietra il cacao, evitando lavorazioni industriali aggressive per risaltare al massimo la personalità di ciascun lotto di cacao.
