Cacao nibs are crushed cacao beans, before they are made into chocolate. Cacao beans are called beans but they are literally nuts -- they are the nut or seed of the cacao fruit -- and they are the starting point of chocolate. In nib form, cacao is an easy way to add rich nutty flavor, satisfying crunch, and a nutrient boost to almost anything, from smoothies to chocolate chip cookies!
To create our cacao nibs, after the cacao we select from small sustainable farms in Central America has been dried and fermented, we de-husk the cacao beans, and gently roast and grind them. That’s all! We use no oils or additives. This minimal processing ensures a pure, healthy, delicious product for you.
Our cacao nibs are rich in potassium, magnesium, and fiber, plus antioxidants, making them a superfood. They are naturally low in sugar, dairy-free, and gluten-free. Cacao raises serotonin levels to put you into a good mood, and Central American tradition says that cacao is an aphrodisiac! As if that’s not enough: they never melt!
